To many foreigners the Netherlands is a country of windmills and clogs, tulips and cheese. A country which has acquired its territory by reclaming it from lakes and the sea. This film explains how it is not only the latter that is true. But... the windmills have long been museums, clogs can still be found in souvenir shops, the cultivation of tulips involves a good deal of tech...
